I'm going to bed around 11, waking up around 4am, lying awake until 6am when I get up and come in to work. It's the nerve issues - once I'm awake, my brain gets on the hamster wheel...

Yeah -- a variety of issues do that. But! Have you tried melatonin? It's the only thing that keeps me asleep, at least until I've caught 6-7 hours of sleep. My first doc in the US immediately prescribed sleeping pills to me, but the second (holistic DO) one suggested the melatonin. (I'm not opposed to pure pharma; it's just that the, what's it called, Zotrim, does zero to keep me asleep. And since my problem isn't FALLING asleep, it's useless.)

The tooth settling down. It probably won't until a couple of weeks after it gets filled in, at which point I'm probably looking down the barrel of April.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Root canals are...special.
