I have two 'heart' blocks that I made about 3 years ago and then couldn't work out what to do with them - now I can make more and send them off!

(This amidst trying to make 13 Lined Drawsting Bags for the Sam/Jack Horsewomen - a group of a dozen SG1 fans who met and bonded over, you guessed it, the Sam/Jack pairing in SG1, and who are having a meet-up in Colorado in late July... I think I can do these reasonably fast - if, say, I set aside a whole day for this.)

...I'm listening to "The Election of 1800". Sounds awfully like The Election of 2016. Of course, exactly which candidate has principles, while the other has none is up to the individual and who they're choosing between...

It's gotten pretty huge over in the quilting community for Instagram; the fact of which I'm going to label "interesting" since quite a few of the Big Name Bloggers in the quilting community are active and practising Mormons.

Huh. That is interesting. Somehow it doesn't surprise me and it does surprise me, at the same time, if that makes any sense.

I'ma make a nice simple quilt block. Three by three: clockwise from one corner, pink red orange yellow green blue purple white, and center's black. I even have the fabric already; I think I'd had the thought of making this quilt block and sewing it onto a tote bag, thus having myself a QUILTBAG, because I r clever.

I have also alerted my mother and honorary aunt to this. Honorary aunt will probably be delighted to contribute. Mother...well maybe I can talk her into it. I need to borrow her sewing machine to make my block in any event.
