My two quilts: The Promises Of Spring and Intulawoven. Neither won anything, but a modern Australian quilting magazine said they were really impressed by my quilting on The Promises Of Spring!

Intulawoven is now sitting on my bed, but I'm a little stumped as to what to do with The Promises Of Spring...

Those are both FUCKIN' GORGEOUS. And must have taken MANY HOURS.

Are you looking for advice for what to do with The Promises Of Spring? If so, keep reading. If not, stop here.

Because I would take that off your hands in a heartbeat if I thought I could afford it, it's stunning and rainbow and did I mention stunning if you are reasonably local to the sort of art museum that shows off local or folk or fiber art, ask if they want it for display purposes.

Alternately, auction or raffle it off, stating your intent to donate the proceeds to the specified charity of your choice—if they've got a sufficiently local chapter, you probably want to organize the auction/raffle in partnership with them. And maybe make sure to mention in biggish font when announcing the auction/raffle that retail value of this quilt is [some round number bigger than (time in hours it took to make this) * (cost in money/hours of your labor) + (materials cost in money)]. With a bit of luck, you'll make that huge number of moneys for the charity of your choice!

I would say flat out sell the thing, but it's worth at least what I put in the square brackets, and ain't nobody is both able and willing to pay that sort of money unless they've more money than sense. So. :(
