Friday was going to be touring day of Paris for the friends who'd never been to Paris before.
We started with the Arc de Triomphe, which I hadn't actually seen, since the last time I was in Paris (with the parentals) I was tired of them and wanted some time to myself when they had the Arc de Triomphe set to go.

The woman with the blue hair is Jenn, whose birthday we were in Paris to celebrate. She's also an American expat who married an Aussie and has two Aussie kids (well, Aussie/US joint cits, I believe).
Then we went over to the Eiffel Tower, which I'd already seen twice, so I parked myself at a cafe just outside the metro, and ended up meeting a couple of New Zealanders (who I initially thought were Australians).

Then it was time for The Bar At The End Of The Universe (a.k.a. The Geek Bar), which was pretty cool but didn't have a lot by way of food. Also, the menus were all in French so some of it was guesswork... But, yes, lots of geeky references in the menu!

I ended up ordering a Proton Pack and a mixed plate of dips.

Then the youngest member of the party wasn't feeling too good and I was kind of tired, so we went back to the apartment, and rested up until it was time for us to head back to Le Sanglier Bleu for dinner (the place where we'd had lunch the day before).

Dinner was still good, but not quite as brilliant as the previous day's lunch...
All in all, not quite the best day envisioned, but pretty good!

Can I ask what's in the saucer of the coffee pic? The little white squares with the blue on them.
