Apologies for that. There were assignments and then there was travel and more assignments and more assignments and I don't think I actually like the assignments but they're getting done (slowly).
The weekend with
alphaflyer was awesome - the Netherlands is a lovely country and very easy to get around by public transport. I did feel like I was missing a lot of history there - it's an old country with a lot of trade history, and one could probably spend decades studying there and never quite hit the bottom of it all.
Anyway, I flew out of (old) Europe and into the (new) USA. I'm presently in Houston, TX with
andveryginger and I'm here until tomorrow when we're flying to meet up with a bunch of very old LJ friends in Denver. The weather since I left the Netherlands has been up and down - it was lovely blue skies so long as I was in Europe, but Houston has been wet heat and thunderstorms.
Tomorrow will be Denver and the Sam-Jack Horsewomen Reunion. It's gonna be busy!
