Dad is fine. The inflammation markers were down, so they released him this morning. Although there were other numbers that were causing concern, so far as they could tell, that was the only indicator out of place.

He's been dispatched with instructions which we hope the stepmother can get him to follow.

Dentist was less delightful. I'm back to the old splint since the new one appears to be causing the issue with the non-meeting incisors. I'm to wear it constantly - as in 24x7 - for a week. After that, we will apparently talk further about extracting the tooth...

The dentist has indicated concern that it might be a myalgia (neuralgia?) in which case removing the tooth won't do anything and I'll have lost a tooth. Which is fair. I'm just really quite tired of the round and round...

I'm not sure why they won't recommend me to a periodontist to look at the gum - unless periodontists look at surface gum (which isn't the issue here).

Glad to hear your dad is doing better. Sorry to hear you're still having tooth problems.

:( That's pretty hard, about your dental troubles. Could you just ask them about the possibility of peridontal advice?

Good to hear that your dad's been passed as well enough to leave hospital; I hope whatever the trouble was gets sorted out.
