Moment of fannish hilarity from the weekend:
I was watching the end of Leverage Season One with a friend, and had the feeling I knew the actress who played Maggie (Nate's ex-wife) from somewhere. I can't remember where, and it bugs me. It really really does. With The First David Job done and a little way into The Second David Job, it's really bugging me and so we pause the player and go hunt up her profile on IMDb.
My friend is looking up the actress and reads out her credits. The usual panoply of shows follows: CSI, 24, this show, that show... None of them ring any bells for me, so my friend starts listing random movies the actress was in.
Know where I know her from?
Cube 2: Hypercube. She's the psychologist who survives the hypercube and then gets shot in the grungy parking lot by the military types who commissioned the study/test/whatever.
Of all the things to remember her for - a B-grade Canadian sci-fi/suspense movie!
I laughed crazily for almost a minute before I could get enough breath to explain to my friend why I was laughing.
We're planning to watch Season 2 in a fortnight's time or thereabouts. :)
