I'd be interested in seeing if I can still 'reply' via email to the people who comment on my LJ posts (which are possibly crossposted by DW). Now that y'all belong to Russia and everything and the TOS doesn't let you in if you don't agree to let them send you advertising material and never mention people possibly being gay ever again.

I haven't yet clicked on acceptance, so all I can see is the hazed-out background of stuff around the message as I scroll through my f-list.

No crossposting without accepting the TOS. So no LJ...

Yeah, that's a lot of fandom history that'll no longer be accessible...

Wow. The site was getting harder and harder to use (crash my chrome by loading allllll the ads!) but it's still where I spent almost a decade of fandom time and the f-list was still useful. :/ What a pain.

*sigh* Welp, I guess that means finally saying goodbye to LJ. I haven't been on there in a while, but I'll miss it.

I'll miss what it used to be. It hasn't been that in a while, and TBH, my interaction on DW has been increasing slightly in the last year. But there were a few people who seemed to be steady on LJ and only on LJ, so...I don't know.

I know! It's as much the history of the platform (which we can't even access anymore without submitting to the TOS) as the functionality of it.

And now I've started thinking about all the fanworks that are posted there. We're losing a huge chunk of fannish history with this.
