If an exchange is only being updated/maintained/questions answered on LJ, and you personally have made the switch to DW, would you sign up, even if the exchange was on AO3?
If it was one I'd participated in before, maybe, but otherwise no, because I wouldn't be able to keep up with deadlines and important dates like sign ups and such. And I get paranoid about breaking the rules in exchanges that are new to me (I don't like getting yelled at!)
And it seems like so many exchanges mirror on DW, so it seems like it'd be easy enough to have at least a vague presence on DW.
Depends on how badly I wanted to be in it. AO3 is doing a lot of the heavy lifting in exchanges with the noms/tags/etc. so it's admin stuff on the comm. As long as they aren't locked, mod posts should be visible while you're not signed in anyway. How worried are you about needing to contact a mod? Is it possible to contact them over AO3 instead?
Oh, I've already signed up for the exchange in question, but I have an email notification on the LJ comm back from the days of LJ and I haven't cancelled it (and I don't need to modify anything to continue to get it). But I'm just wondering because sign-ups are very much down right now, and it might be exhaustion with the fandom, but it also might be the fact that the comm admin is on LJ and tumblr, with no DW updates.
If it was an exchange I'd previously participated in and enjoyed, probably yes, given the fic itself would be safely on AO3. As for new-to-me exchanges, I don't think the issue would ever come up since I stopped looking for stuff like that on LJ several years ago.
I probably would. I mean, if it was like Yuletide where it's almost completely AO3. But, at this point, I'd also wonder why they weren't on DW. If they have no qualms with who is running things over there, is it really something I want to be involved in? *shrug*

Unfortunately, LJ blocks my OpenID login, so anything requiring an account wouldn't work any more. But assuming LJ is only for info, that sounds fine.
