long weekend + anzac day

Enjoyable weekend so far.

Friday morning gardening and writing (sorting out the back porch, taking apart the woodchipper to extract the blades). Good Friday evening service, then movie night at a friend's house (Widows).

Saturday morning gardening and writing (pruning back stone fruit). Saturday afternoon and evening up at the parentals.

Sunday morning gardening and writing (sprayed front fruit trees with copper sulfate fungicide, planted out an avocado). Easter Day service, then an evening chatting with friends.

Plans for today? Guess. I dare you!

Okay, so specifically, the gardening plans are:

• finish pruning back stone fruit
• plant out last of brassicas
• put soil down and plant out root vegetables
• clean up porch a bit more

In the PM I'm going to visit a friend and her family for lunch, and also pick up a new gardening bed. All for the 'price' of a jar of honey and a couple of persimmons fresh off the tree. (They're giant persimmons. As in, as large as my fist. And tasty. So tasty!)

ANZAC day (25th April) has no plans at this point. I would contemplate inviting friends over for lunch and a BBQ but even the garden is a bit of a mess right now... I'm hoping someone else invites me over for a BBQ instead. In which case, I shall make a dessert of some kind. Probably. :)
