Graphics question: does anyone use Corel Paint Shop Pro anymore? I started with it back when it was JASC PSP and really liked the simple, easy, v4 from long long ago. So I upgraded to 7 or 8 (maybe?) But when that finally ran out, I got…X10 or whatever a few years ago, and discovered it was horrendously unwieldy. Took all my ram, ran slow as a dog, would barely do the stuff that I wanted it to do…

Trying to see if I can still use it or if I need to just give up on using any kind of graphics program at all. It’s only for occasional bits and pieces, in truth, not for any work or any kind of serious art.

I use Corel Photopaint, but just got X5 installed and haven't been up to graphicsing lately.

Just use a web based program! Canva and Pixlr are both fine, assuming your browser is up to date.

Yep, and they're both free so you can try both and see what you like!

I still use Paint Shop Pro. I have X9 and I completely agree with you that the more recent versions are horribly clunky compared to the older versions. It still does what I need, but it's so irritating to use. I don't understand why they decided to ruin a good thing!

Oh, that sounds irritating! I haven't had the advertising problem. Perhaps that means I should avoid X10.

Have you tried and failed with re-installing an older version? I'd never thought to try it, but now it's kind of tempting.

That's too bad. :(

I use paint.net, but then I only do things like resizing/cropping images and throwing text on them.
