Seen the doc, got a bandage. Will go back tomorrow to check for infection.
That said, could have been a lot worse.
I was wearing thongs (yes, yes, flip-flops for the Americans who are giggling like teenaged boys right now) to do the gardening and while stepping past an upturned wire basket, I caught my little toe and tumbled.
I didn't rip the toe off, but there is a gap in the flesh that looks rather awful. It all seals up when my foot is in resting position, it was just sore and kind of throbby for a while.
Doc cleaned it out with all the appropriate cleaning things and it stung like billy-oh, then dabbed mecurochrome on it and put a bandage on it. 15 minute trip to doc's office, Medicare paid for it.
I have since spent the afternoon and evening in bed.
So, there went my plans for the last third of the day...
