Hello, dear author, welcome to my [community profile] shipoween letter, in which I give you my pairings and a broad range of ideas.

As at the 18th September, this letter is not quite finished. It's been a busy week, and I hope to have it done by the weekend of the 25th September.

These ideas are not directives but suggestions. If you want more suggestions, then please check out my exchange letters tag. If you have your own vision of how these relationships would go, then by all means work with what you've got in your head and don't feel obligated to follow mine.

Do Not Wants:
- nominated/major character death
- nominated characters as antagonists
- unrequested pairings

Likes:
- focus on female friendships
- respectful romantic relationships
- characters showing intimacy/friendship in ways appropriate to them
- alternate universes: what-ifs and fusions both (particularly fond of Jaegers/Pacific Rim, Black Jewels, daemons, and shifters/vampires, but I'm game for a lot of things)
- stories of adventure and drama, where there's something to be achieved
- slices of life: little snapshots of moments in time
- 'getting to know you': stories about how people meet, how their relationships develop, how they come to agreements or settle disagreements between them

SPECIAL NOTES
- sedoretu - for some reason this year I have a YEN for the sedoretu relationships that I've outlined at the bottom. They're all MCU/Captain America, and they're pretty specific pairings.
- I'd like to be put in a happy, hopeful mood by the time these stories come due, so something uplifting and positive would be really appreciated. It doesn't have to be saccharine, just something hopeful.

Pacific Rim
Mako/Raleigh
Mako & Herc Hansen
Mako & Tamsin
Mako & Jake
Raleigh & Yancy & Mako

I love the hopefulness about this canon, the belief in the human race - that we could face something big and terrible together and win against it with persistence and determination. And the idea that even if there are heroes to the narrative, nearly everyone puts in the work. It's not just the small band of heroes, it's the huge implied supporting cast of the Shatterdomes and the PPDC.

MCU
Maria & Laura
Maria & Pepper
Maria & Okoye

A few 'background women' of the MCU, doing what women do: keeping on keeping on.

I'd just like to see these women working together, relaxing together, basically interacting with each other.

You don't have to include Endgame - I have thoughts on this - but if you do, I'd rather that the Snap either didn't happen or was reversed back to the point where it originally happened.

Captain America
Maria/Steve
Sam/Bucky
Sam & Bucky
Maria & Sam
Maria & Bucky

Friends and lovers, in between saving the world. I am always up for more Maria/Steve and Bucky/Sam relationship, as well as any of the friendships I listed.

Left field option - Maria/Steve and Sam/Bucky in a sedoretu.

Harry Potter
Harry/Luna
Scorpius/Rose
Scorpius & Albus & Rose

Magic and mystery, love, friendship, and being a little bit different.

Ignore JKR and her schtick. Just write these characters, their interactions and how they work out their relationships with each other. In the case of the Next Gen, I'd like to see them working out things while dealing with parental disapproval.

Jupiter Ascending
Jupiter/Caine

Jupiter Jones, Queen of the Universe, and her loyal love.

One thing I enjoyed about the ending of the movie was that Jupiter takes the time to work out what she's going to do next. And I'm always up for What Jupiter Does Next stories!

Rogue One
Cassian/Jyn
Jyn & Bodhi
Cassian & Jyn & Chirrut & Baze & Bodhi (& Kaytoo)

Such a brief insight into these characters, yet the 'found family' trope is strong with this one.

Everyone survives is a classic trope for this canon, and I love reading any and all iterations of it.

Stargate Atlantis
John/Teyla
Ronon & Teyla & John & Rodney
Ronon & Teyla
Teyla & Teal'c
Teyla & Elizabeth

Friendships from other worlds, and love and acceptance in another galaxy.

Teyla and Ronon have such unexplored potential in their backgrounds, not just for worldbuilding, but in their abilities to show the Earth expedition more things than were dreamed of in Earth philosophy. I would love a story that explored these ideas. In the option with Teal'c, the parallels and divergences of the Jaffa fight for freedom vs. the overarching dominion of the Wraith would make for some great contrasts in worldview and perspective.

Angel
Faith/Wes
Angel/Buffy

Slayers and the men who love them. I haven't seen the comics, so you can go anywhere you like. After the end of the series, alternate ending to the series, mysteriously reconfigured ten years later to deal with a great evil in the world...

Sedoretu option: Faith/Wes and Angel/Buffy in an evil-fighting sedoretu...

Thank you so much for writing my request! I'm sorry that my letter is a little sketchy; these have been busy times, but I'm looking forward to reading your story for me!
