Dear CandyHearts writer, thank you so much for writing for me!

I have picked a selection of perennial favourites for this year, and hope that one of them speaks to you and that writing for me is a joy and not a burden.

If I have somehow forgotten or not transferred the details from my sign-up over here, or if I haven't written much about the fandom/relationship pairing that we've matched on, I apologise. I truly do want that fandom and pairing, I just changed one and not the other.

Likes
- female friendships and working relationships
- female characters at the heart of the narrative
- interactions between characters working together
- respectful romantic relationships
- stories of adventure and drama
- slices of life
- happy or hopeful endings
- character studies through interaction
- action/adventure/drama

DNW
- nominated characters as antagonists
- pairings I didn't ask for
- death of nominated characters
- torture
- smut (unless otherwise indicated)
- pure scene setting with no interaction or dialogue by the characters
- cheating partners (but especially not to get the requested pairing)
- humiliation as humour

If you want further ideas, then my fic ideas post gives the basics of my current interests.

Ultimately these are all suggestions to help you get started. If none of them work for you then write the fandom and pairing we matched on and it will be fine!

Pacific Rim
Saving the world in giant robots! I love the idea of the Drift, of found soulmates (whether you perceive that as platonic or romantic), of found family, of people coming together for a common cause and a public good, and working out who they are and what they're doing along the way.

Raleigh Becket/Mako Mori (Pacific Rim) : after the end, learning each other without the Drift.
Mako Mori & Duke Pentecost (Pacific Rim) : Siblings in the Pentecost household. Mako survives the events of Uprising.
Mako Mori & Stacker Pentecost (Pacific Rim) : life in Shatterdomes during the war, responsibility and respect.
Mako Mori & Tamsin Sevier (Pacific Rim) : bending without breaking, taking pleasure in life and living.

FTR, I'm okay with the events of the original movie, but really pissed off about the events of Uprising, so please rewrite or ignore that entirely.

Stargate All Media
Ronon Dex & Teyla Emmagan & Rodney McKay & John Sheppard : getting into (and out of trouble), downtime with aliens.
Teyla Emmagan/John Sheppard : Earth v Pegasus, friends-to-lovers, but something that goes beyond Teyla as the "alien finding everything strange" please!
Sam Carter/Jack O'Neill : actions saying more than words,
Sam Carter & Teyla Emmagan : leadership transfer in Season 4, a situation that requires cool heads.

I enjoyed both shows at the start, although some of the plotlines were a bit stale towards the end of each series. Mostly, what I enjoyed was the possibility of new worlds, new cultures, new connections, even as they fought the Big Bad of the galaxy in question. And the dynamics between the characters, the teams, and the 'support staff' in each show. I am good with 'curtainfic' or the most action-adventure story you can think up and write!

SG1: Found family...IN SPAAAAACE! Also: Teal'c and the Jaffa. That relationship wasn't a gen option in the tagset, but I particularly love Teal'c and his long-view, cool head, and inexplicable (probably often to himself, too) affection for the Tau'ri. Add him in anywhere you care to, or don't. It's all good!

Atlantis version: with bonus space vampires! Workplace and home in the same space, and the oddities of the expedition and their peculiar place in Pegasus - an outpost of Earth that would surely be changed by Pegasus just as Pegasus has been changed by them.

Give me daily life in the SGC/Atlantis or off-planet. Give me Pegasus locals, particularly ones that are realistic about the Atlantis expedition. Give me Wraith or Goa'uld or the Replicators. Conflict and hilarity, humour and tough choices. The whole hog and anything besides!

Bridgerton (TV)
Anthony/Kate: romance in married life, dealing with the ton upon their return from their honeymoon.
Benedict & Kate Sharma: keeping the viscount humble!
Violet & Kate Sharma: Daphne takes Kate around the social scene (the card party), Kate keeps Daphne informed.
The Bridgerton siblings: a close-knit family that is slowly coming apart as the various parties marry and move away: what do they do in each others' absence?
Kate Sharma & Mary Sharma: Marrying into the Bridgertons!
Eloise & Kate Sharma: Does Eloise maybe confide in Kate regarding her 'bluestocking' activities?

A regency world that never was...

Give me all the Kate-and-the-Bridgertons scenarios you can imagine! Kate and Anthony being married - both happily and snarkily - or dealing with whatever comes their way. No pregnancy fic for this one, please!

I'd like to see your thoughts on the broader world that Bridgerton is in; set Kate and the Bridgertons (and Mary) into that world. Letters exchanged between characters, secrets or confessions, kindnesses and reassurances, but also the background of a world that must look quite different sociopolitically.

MCU
Maria Hill/Steve Rogers (MCU):

This is the unicorn pairing for me. I like the idea of Steve being happy in the world where he found himself - of finding joy even when it's not the ending one envisioned, and of cultivating contentment where one lands - not 'settling', but being in the moment and accepting what there is. I like the idea of Maria getting to be happy amidst all the difficulties of managing superheroes and the work-orientation that is probably a large part of her life. I'd like them to find a happy ending with each other, however you sort it out.

Note: I haven't seen any of the Disney+ shows, and I'm not really interested in following them in any way.

MCU gen
Clint Barton & Bruce Banner & Maria Hill & Steve Rogers & Natasha Romanoff & Tony Stark & Thor(MCU) :
Helen Cho & Jane Foster & Maria Hill & Pepper Potts(MCU):
Maria Hill & James "Rhodey" Rhodes (MCU):
Maria Hill & Wanda Maximoff(MCU):
Maria Hill & Pepper Potts (MCU):
Jane Foster & Maria Hill & Wanda Maximoff & Pepper Potts (MCU):

Friendships in professional and personal settings. The boundaries between work and play would get blurred with all these people interacting, bonding in situations that they wouldn't otherwise experience. It's the 'found family' concept, superpowered.

I particularly like the non-superpowered women and the idea of their relationships behind the "big powerful people" - the dynamics that would have been developed between them, not just professionally but personally.

One note: I haven't seen any of the Disney+ shows, so go sparingly on those, thanks.

Buffyverse
Angel & Faith Lehane :
Faith Lehane & Buffy Summers :
Faith Lehane/Wesley Wyndam-Pryce :
Faith Lehane & Dawn Summers:
Angel/Buffy Summers:

One of the themes of Buffy was the intersection of the 'normal' and the 'supernatural', which, in Angel was more or less translated to 'daylight world' and 'night world'. I love the contrasts and conflicts of living liminally, on the edge. How do relationships and interactions work in these situations?

You can bring in any number of Scoobies or the Fang Gang, but I'd like the focus of the story to be about the prompt characters, please!

Crossovers

This is the 'go wild with it' option. I just love these characters and would like to see them interact with each other! Spies, spirits, secret agents, and the supernatural...

Diana (Wonder Woman) & Maria Hill (MCU) :
Elsa (Frozen)/Jack Frost (Guardians of Childhood) (Crossover) :
Faith Lehane (Buffyverse (TV))/Dean Winchester (Supernatural) :
Faith Lehane (Buffyverse (TV)) & Maria Hill (MCU) :
James Bond (007 Movies) & Maria Hill (MCU) :

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)
Cassian/Jyn: Happy Rebellion After? Life and love in the middle of a war. Or after the war when they're trying to work out who they are and how they fit together?
Jyn & Leia: Two women in the Rebellion - one from the 'leadership' strata, the other from the stews and crews: but both of them leaders.
Cassian & Jyn & Chirrut & K2SO & Baze & Bodhi: an Intelligence squad in the midst of the New Republic, gathering data to help topple the empire that took so much from them.

Rebellions (and friendships) built on hope, and the different ways we contribute to a better world (or galaxy) for all! Obviously these options take the 'not everyone dies' angle, and however you want to set up them having gotten off Scarif is good.

I haven't seen anything of Andor (any of the Disney+ stuff, actually), but if you want to include bits from there then feel free to do so! I have read a lot of the original "Expanded Universe" (I think it's called Star Wars Legacy) novels, and particularly enjoyed the Wraith and Rogue Squadron books, so if you know of them and want to include any of those characters, I am absolutely up for that, too!

--

Once again, thanks for writing for me.

It's a fandom and characters we like and enjoy and I hope that it comes easy for you!

Dear Yulegoat,

I'm glad that we've been matched, because clearly you have excellent taste in small fandoms and characters!

Likes:
- female friendships and working relationships (think: Misses Clause)
- respectful romantic relationships
- characters showing intimacy/friendship in ways appropriate to them
- slices of life

Do Not Want:
- nominated/major character death
- nominated characters as antagonists
- pairings I didn't ask for
- straight up smut

notes:
1. If I haven't talked as much about some fandoms or some characters as others, it's not that I don't want them, it's just that my ideas of what I want are less defined. That said, write as my ideas take you or run with your own.
2. If my request as written here doesn't match with what I've requested in the AO3 sign-up, I apologise for the confusion. Please take the mismatch in good faith and check with the mods.

it's pretty simple this year )

In the end, these are just ideas. If they work for you, great! If not, find a story that resonates with you.

Thanks for writing for me, dear Yulegoat!

Hi Dear Fandom 5K Author!

I love a good longfic! Action-adventure, character-driven, plotty AU, getting-together story - it's all wonderful and I love it.

The first thing to know is that although I've made at least one specific request in each of the fandoms that we've matched on, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WRITE THIS REQUEST. This is the request of my heart and if you have this story in you, or it speaks to you sufficient that you can get a story out of it, then go ahead and write it. If it doesn't strike a note in your writing repertoire, then find something that does and I will still be delighted with what you, in good faith, gift me.

My story preferences are for 'reverse gender hero narratives': or, where the hero of the story is female/femme-presenting and the choices, decisions, and key storypoints hinge on her. And (maybe) she gets the guy into the bargain. At the least, there is connection and friendship and warmth in her life, people she leans on, people who lean on her. She is not a lone wolf on the edge of the pack, but a community aunt in the midst of everything - and she's not the one creating drama, she's the one fixing it.

all the fandoms of my heart )

Ultimately, I want a longfic about these characters that are near and dear to my heart. I'm open to a range of stories, and have dumped a bunch of ideas in your lap in the hope that they might kickstart your imaginative juices. If not, then find something in the midst of all this that works for you, and I look forward to reading your story!

Thank you!

thoughts on sedoretus
To me, the sedoretu concept is primarily four people in a configuration of four sexual relationships and two non-sexual relationships, and can be done with or without including moiety groupings. It might be that sedoretus are known, or it might be that this is an informal set up of a relationship in a world that doesn't necessarily have this sort of relationship.

In this letter, I have talked more about some relationships than others. I still want the less-mentioned sedoretus I just have less-defined ideas about that relationships. (And if I've missed listing a sedoretu in the letter, then I still want that sedoretu, I've just rewritten this letter several times.

Finally, some quartets I'm more fixed about who pairs with whom in what configuration, while others I'm flexible. If you're capable to write them, I'd like my preferences, but if not, Optional Details Are Optional.

eta: I may not have explained that last paragraph very well. If I have particular pairing preferences within the sedoretu arrangement, then I've listed them. However they're not the only pairings/relationships I'd like to see in the sedoretu, or the only relationships that should be in the sedoretu. And - as I said at the end: ODAO.

Likes, DNWs
DNWs for this exchange
  • Incest: There are several sedoretu groupings where I've listed same-sex siblings in the group, but in those sedoretus, siblings (emotional and genetic) should always be a non-sexual relationship.
  • Transgression: Unless otherwise specified in the request, I'm not generally interested in the transgression of the formal bounds of a sedoretu - eg. same-moiety relationships, , etc.
  • Non-con: Unless otherwise specified in the request, please avoid any coercion or rape (emotional or physical).
  • Character Death: No character deaths for this exchange, please, not even temporary.
  • Humiliation: humiliation as humor.

In this exchange, I'd like
  • The negotiation of a sedoretu: how does it happen, who first proposes it, how does each party feel about it? If the explicit concept of a sedoretu is not commonly known in the world/culture then how do they come to reconcile their dynamic?
  • Relationship dynamics, both sexual and non-sexual. That is, not just the day, night, evening, and morning marriages, but also the dynamic between 'moiety siblings' - how they get along (or don't).
  • Female characters: I enjoy reading about the expansion of the personality and agency of female characters who often don't have a lot of canon about them. Begin at canon, then extrapolate.

General Likes
  • happy or hopeful endings
  • characters eventually making good choices
  • adult characters behaving maturely (while still having fun)
  • slices of life and interaction between characters
  • clever conversations/interactions
  • focus on the female characters

Except for the DNWs, these are entirely suggestions and insights. I hope you'll find something that inspires you and that you enjoy writing, but mostly I hope you'll enjoy writing the sedoretu we've matched on.

MCU
Maria Hill/Scott Lang/Steve Rogers/Hope Van Dyne
Maria Hill/Pepper Potts/Steve Rogers/Tony Stark
Jane Foster/Maria Hill/Steve Rogers/Thor
James "Bucky" Barnes/Maria Hill/Steve Rogers/Natasha Romanov: Steve/Maria, Bucky/Natasha.

I haven't seen any of the Disney+ shows or movies that happened after Endgame and I'm not particularly fond of Endgame either. Take what you need from those properties, sure, but I'd like for you to remake the stories around the characters in the sedoretu.

Relationships and their negotiation are difficult enough in an life that doesn't involve supersuits, brainwashing, body modifications (whether serums or prosthetics), and alien artifacts of power. How much more complicated does navigating a sedoretu get in the midst of saving the world (or, at least, trying not to destroy it)?

eta: I'd quite like to see a Civil War-related sedoretu, with Tony and Maria on one side and Steve and Pepper on the other. If I think about it, the name of the game in these options is 'love and conflict, but done with nuance'.

Star Wars (all media types)
Mara Jade/Leia Organa/Luke Skywalker/Han Solo:
Cassian Andor/Jyn Erso/Leia Organa/Han Solo:

Force sensitivity, the shadow of the Emperor, the matter of Leia and Luke being Darth Vader's kids, Jyn being the daughter of the architect of the Death Star which destroyed Alderaan...how does that all tangle (or untangle) in a sedoretu marriage?

I've watched all the Star Wars movies, read most of the Star Wars "Legends" series, and haven't seen any of the Disney+ shows. That said, I know how the general canon goes, so don't be afraid of referencing events from the shows.

eta: Again, this is 'love and conflict, with nuance' - doesn't have to be rights and wrongs, clean hands and dirty ones - but the complicated relationships in-between.

Angel
Angel/Faith Lehane/Buffy Summers/Wesley Wyndam-Pryce:

Two slayers, a former Watcher, and an ensouled vampire walk into a sedoretu... I feel like these four would be just a wee smidge terrifying to any Evil that's trying to make its way in the Buffyverse, so if you want to skip the 'how they get there' part and move straight to the 'dusting the bad guys' part, then you're more than welcome to do so.

BSG 2003
Lee "Apollo" Adama/Sam Anders/Anastasia "Dee" Dualla/Kara "Starbuck" Thrace:

With the TV series Caprica showing polyamorous relationships a mere generation or two prior to the BSG TV series, why didn't they take that option? This one might involve worldbuilding because I'm curious where and how the shift moved towards what appears to be a fairly standard heterocentric culture.

This is one where my preferences run towards 'blasphemy': while I don't mind Lee/Dee and Kara/Anders, I'm very much a Kara/Lee fan, and would like to see the development of a polyamorous quartet with sedoretu characteristics.

Ultimately, I'd love to see your take on this sedoretu developing and growing during the events of the TV series, the way the bonds tighten or loosen as the various tides of the colonists and their survival situations pull them in different directions.

Bridgerton (TV)
Simon Basset/Anthony Bridgerton/Daphne Bridgerton/Kate Sharma:

The oldest son and oldest daughter of the Bridgerton family finding and settling on a sedoretu husband and wife for their familial quartet. In the middle of the season. With the ton looking on. Give me all the emotional and relational negotiations!

This seems to me to be a 'so, who actually chooses the relationships' kind of story: is it the Viscount looking for a wife, or his sister and their husband who get the final say? I'm not a fan of the TV show's Anthony/Edwina storyline, but maybe Anthony is arguing for a bloodless marriage with Edwina, while Simon and Daphne are "no, we like her sister better, you're outvoted, deal with it"?

Young Wizards
Dairine Callahan/Nita Callahan/Roshaun ke Nelaid/Kit Rodriguez:
Nita Callahan/Ronan Nolan/Carmela Rodriguez/Kit Rodriguez:

Look, this universe would be surprising if there wasn't a sedoretu option in there somewhere, given the kinds of soap operas that Carmela is watching! This one is about the negotiations - Earth sensibilities vs alien/universe sensibilities. Also, where does the Art come in amidst all this? If you can manage Saving The World (or just their little part of it) in there, that would be spectacular.

I've read to A Wizard Of Mars, but haven't yet gotten further.

Pacific Rim (movies)Raleigh Becket/Nate Lambert/Mako Mori/Jake Pentecost: Mako/Raleigh, Mako/Nate, Jake/Raleigh and Jake/Nate
Raleigh Becket/Yancy Becket/Chuck Hansen/Mako Mori: Mako/Raleigh, Raleigh/Chuck, Chuck/Yancy, Yancy/Mako

The kinds of relationships that form at the edge of our hope, at the end of our time! Stress and monsters and giant robots, and the Drift... How do emotional/psychological boundaries for relationships work when you're sharing yourselves so intimately in the Drift?

Please, dear writer, these are all just ideas. Optional details are optional, but I hope they help kickstart your creative process.

Thanks for writing for me, and have fun!

Dear AU Exchange writer,

I'm [archiveofourown.org profile] tielan and thank you so much for writing for me!

I love AUs of all types and kinds, both the 'different ending' and the 'fusion' type of AU, and I love seeing them applied to my favourite characters to create new and different stories.

If I have forgotten/missed the AU that we matched on, I absolutely still want it, and apologise for not including it in the notes below.

things I like
Fusion AUs (characters from one canon written in another canon as though they've always been there)

Women at the centre of the story and female friendships and dynamics. Women who have agency and determination and make their own decisions (and the men who respect those decisions).

In most fandoms, one thing that I really enjoy is the mingling of professional and personal: a lot of these fandoms have people who work together, but they don't exactly compartmentalise and go home to their own family at the end of the day. Their work relationships are also the big personal relationships in their lives.

I've put a list of pairings I enjoy next to the fandoms. If you want to include any of them, that would be mighty fine! If you don't, then just friendships and interaction is great.

A note about soulmates/soulmarks AUs: I'm okay with the soulmates thing not being sexual, just people who are matched - kind of like the 'found family' trope, only with capital-D Destiny. I also like when the soulmates trope is inverted or subverted - where the sexual pairing isn't the soulmates one: the idea that love is not destiny.

do not wants:
- rape/non-con
- character deaths
- PWP (I don't mind a scene of smut in a longer story, but I don't want the entire story to be about sex)
- cheating partners
- pairings I haven't requested
- humiliation as humour

the usual suspects )

Finally, these are all just ideas that I'm putting out there for you to be inspired by. If they don't speak to you, that's okay - just write what we matched on.

Thank you again!

Finally, these are all just IDEAS. If none of them work for you, then follow the YT rules and just go with what we matched on. I look forward to reading your gift!

Dear MFTF writer,

Thank you so much for getting involved with this, for offering for my requests, for putting the time and energy into trying to formulate a gift!

I think this is my first time doing MFTF, so it's all a bit new and exciting, and I'm really looking forward to your takes on these favoured tropes with my favourite characters and pairings!

Do Not Wants
- rape/non-con
- PWP (I don't mind a scene of smut in a longer story, but I don't want the entire story to be about sex)
- cheating partners
- pairings I haven't requested
- humiliation as humour

Things I like
- respecting/showcasing women's capabilities
- character studies through interaction
- characters showing intimacy/friendship in ways appropriate to them
- stories of adventure and drama which happen to contain slices of the characters personal interaction with each other

I guess that last point that I really enjoy is the mingling of professional and personal: a lot of these fandoms have people who work together, but they don't exactly compartmentalise and go home to their own family at the end of the day. Their work relationships are also the big personal relationships in their lives. I mean, to some degree, that's a fannish trope in and of itself, isn't it?

Forthwith, onto my fandoms, characters, and pairings.

Dear AU Exchange writer,

Thank you so much for writing for me!

I love AUs of all types and kinds, both the 'different ending' and the 'fusion' type of AU, and I love seeing them applied to my favourite characters to create new and different stories.

If these options look familiar to previous years, that's because "one cake good, two cakes better". Your ideas will be different to any previous takes that have been around, and I look forward to reading how you envision the characters/situation that they're in.

If I have forgotten/missed the AU that we matched on, I absolutely still want it, and apologise for missing it.

Really, in this letter, I'm just throwing ideas around and trying to see if something sticks!

things I like
Fusion AUs (characters from one canon written in another canon as though they've always been there)

I also like when the soulmates trope is inverted or subverted - where the sexual pairing aren't necessarily soulmates. (If you need a reference for what this looks like in my own writing, try my MCU fic 'Between Destiny And Love'.) Or you can write soulmates straight - whatever works.

Finally, these are all ideas that I'm putting out there for you to think about and possibly be inspired by. If they don't speak to you, that's okay - just write what we matched on and it'll be fine.

Dear Worldbuilder o' Mine...

Black Jewels, Pacific Rim, Jupiter Ascending, MCU )Hopefully this gives you something to start with for the worldbuilding that you're writing. However, if nothing I've suggested has struck you, then just keep in mind my likes/DNWs and the characters/worldbuilding we've matched upon, and go for your life!

Dear author,

Welcome to my letter for [community profile] holly_poly, wherein I try to give you a snapshot of the kind of stuff I like, and which you are welcome to take as gospel (although I don’t recommend it), consider as guidelines (rather than rules), or simply read as an exercise in curiosity (entirely acceptable).

mostly sedoretu )

Ultimately, remember that these are all ideas and thoughts - frankly, I'm just tossing ideas out to see if they stick, although I would love to read your take on any of the scenarios I've listed. That said, if you have a vision in your own head, then so long as the relationships are as matched, and the Likes/DNWs are covered, it'll be fine.

Thank you so much for writing for me!

Dear Yulegoat,

My AO3 is [archiveofourown.org profile] tielan.

I'm glad that we've been matched, because clearly you have excellent taste in small fandoms and characters! Basically, write what we've matched on and we'll be good; these are just ideas that might give you a nudge if you're a bit stuck on ideas.

Dear AU Exchange writer,

Thank you so much for writing for me!

(I'm sorry about the copied line that ended up in all my sign-ups. Obviously, I don't want PR fic for every fandom.)

edit: Assignments given! Dear author, I hope you're reading this. It's been a slightly stressful week and I dropped the ball on finishing this. I will have it done by the end of the weekend.

final: DONE! Unfortunately, due to a number of emotional crises last week, elaborating on my sign-up simply didn't happen. I'm sorry for not filling out more detail.

Likes:
- female friendships and working relationships
- respectful romantic relationships
- characters showing intimacy/friendship in ways appropriate to them
- slices of life

Dislikes
- nominated characters as antagonists
- pairings I didn't ask for

DNW
- death of nominated characters
- torture
- smut (unless otherwise indicated)

If you want further ideas, then my fic ideas post gives the basics of my current interests.

However, ultimately these are all suggestions to help you get started. If none of them work for you then write the fandom and pairing we matched on and it will be fine!

Some of these prompts and requests for recs are crazy and elaborate. Please don't feel you need to hit it out of the ballpark! I love anything that's written for me, but the longer prompts might give you an insight into what I think and how I feel about the fandom, the characters, and the pairings that I've listed.

That said, if you want to write or draw a sweet little moment, I am here for it, and will be delighted!

MCU )

Pacific Rim )

SGA )

Harry Potter )

Stargate SG1 )

Merlin )

Angel: the series )

BSG (2003) )

Firefly )

These last two are waaaaaay out of left field, but that's okay. I might someday get lucky!

Dear Yulegoat,

Apparently I've been doing this thing for over a dozen years! Whoda thunk it?

My AO3 is [archiveofourown.org profile] tielan.

Anyway, I'm glad that we've been matched, because clearly you have excellent taste in small fandoms and characters! Basically, write what we've matched on and we'll be good; these are just ideas that might give you a nudge if you're a bit stuck on ideas.

Likes:

- respectful romantic relationships
- characters showing intimacy/friendship in ways appropriate to them
- slices of life

Do Not Want:
- nominated/major character death
- nominated characters as antagonists
- pairings I didn't ask for

I am okay with not all the characters I requested being in the story.

Finally, thanks for writing this for me; I appreciate the time and effort you're putting in. In the end, just write your thing about the character(s) we matched on in the fandom we both want to see more fic for, and we'll get along like a house on fire.

Although hopefully with less screaming, property destruction, and cold water being thrown at us.

Thank you for writing for me, dear ToT author!

Firstly, I'm looking forward to reading whatever you trick/treat me with!

Secondly, I've scribbled down a range of prompts/ideas that might be something you could take and write. But in the end, it's optional - if none of the written prompts speak to you, then go with something that does. If you want more options, then please check out my exchange letters tag from previous exchanges and previous years.

Thirdly, In these canons, I'd prefer the story didn't have a specific Halloween slant, especially given that some canons take place where Halloween would likely be less celebrated. (Also: I'm Australian and while Halloween is becoming more popular here, it's not a patch on the megaholiday status in the US.)

And finally, I don't mind if it's a trick or a treat, take it light and fluffy, or take it dark - just keep in mind that while I enjoy a good dark/edgy story, I also like there to be a leavening at the end, a hopeful light at the end of the tunnel.

Do Not Wants:
- nominated/major character death
- nominated characters as antagonists
- unrequested pairings

Likes:
- female friendships and working relationships
- respectful romantic relationships
- characters showing intimacy/friendship in ways appropriate to them
- alternate universes: what-ifs and fusions both (particularly fond of Jaegers, Black Jewels, daemons, and shifters/vampires)
- stories of adventure and drama
- slices of life

trick or treeeeeat: Pacific Rim, MCU, Belgariad )
