Did I say February was bad? Well, March is the month when everything goes bonkers.

Gardening: edible garden trail and getting everything out and ready for that.

Hockey: starting up again (and the whole angst about grading and teams)

Quilting: several online quilting 'events', including a submission for the local quilt show.

On top of all that, I got bitten by a fly on Sunday (actually, I got bitten by a fly last Saturday, too) and my foot swelled up yesterday and was all stiff and felt like a lump on the end of my leg with very little sensation.

After resting and icing and staying off it, and sleeping with it next to a cold pack and out of the covers all night, it feels a lot better. But a little blister is rising over the bite point, which is interesting, because although there wasn't swelling etc. with the bite last Saturday, a little blister grew over the bite point, too, and spent most of the week just sitting there (for a wonder I didn't end up scratching it).

I was thinking about going to the doctor to get antibiotics, but I feel like I've taken antibiotics quite enough this year. And it's less swollen this morning, although I guess we'll have to wait and see how it goes through the day.

DAMN! That bite sounds nasty. You might just get it checked anyway. Might not need antibiotics, but maybe you're developing a sensitivity that will get worse. If so, you need to invest in a couple of epi-pens.

Pat had that happen with yellow jackets. He'd gotten stung a couple of times while bicycling. Then last year he broke out in hives all over from a sting. The doc immediately prescribed epi-pens for him because he's afraid that if Pat gets stung again he could go into anaphylactic shock.
