The software update that was going to take forever? I hard-restarted the computer, and at first it leaped back to the 60% updated, and then it started moving again!
It was done by 3:30pm.
The remote login token I came to reset looked dire for a few minutes, but around 4pm I managed to log in and HUZZAH! There was much rejoicing.
Tomorrow, I will do thingy things, maybe return the old/broken token now that it's definitely no longer needed, and leave for home early. I'll only be recording 3 days of work this week; Monday was a public-holiday-that-wasn't, and I asked for Friday off. But I'll be working a couple of hours on Friday to get something into production and to make sure it's all running smoothly, so...
I went out and had dinner, got leftovers, and came back, wrote 500 words and I think now it is time to crash. Phew.
