Trying to write this story and I had to start from the beginning again, because the MC didn't quite work with her background. And I wasn't entirely happy with the progression of the plot anyway, so this provided an opportunity to get something out and done and down and dusted.
But I'm feeling a little grumpy, because what my muse thinks is 'easy peasy, so simple, see, I've outlined it for you!' is really difficult according to my inner editor.
As in "we don't want that word here, how about you rearrange that sentence so it flows better, do you really want to depict MC like that?"
ARGH.
I can't quite manage to switch off and just write; I never have been able to do that. I don't know how to do that - in a practical, actual, my fingers on the keyboard sense.

Stitches in my gashed foot came out yesterday, and within 24 hours, the 'ridge' that the stitches created (to hold the edges of the wound together) have flattened, so now I have what looks like a bit of a scabby rune wound.
I've been oiling it with apricot kernel oil (thanks nutrimetics) all morning, and sitting with it tucked under my other leg knee (something that I haven't been able to do since I got injured), and while it aches a little when direct pressure is applied, it's otherwise okay.
Not playing hockey tonight, although I kind of wish I could, even a little. But probably best not to push the foot too much yet. However, I am going to my PT, which is doing pretty okay, I find.

I've been waking up tired. Also, have a lingering clogged throat.
