It was a weekend with A Lot in spite of not having Very Much at all.
Work upgrade, was going to be on and off all weekend, but because of that I couldn't go anywhere or do anything very much until it was over.
We started at 7am on Saturday with a message on our Signal group: Are we doing this? We're waiting for other people to do their part?
*sigh* Good morning, weekend.
Anyway, I got my thing done, although I think that I should have studied the Planned Order Of Events more carefully - maybe then we would have gotten people off the system before I shut down communications between our system and other systems...
There's probably a slew of trouble tickets this morning from people who lost their sessions in the middle of doing things (some of them financial things).
Outside, it was a beautiful, sunny, hot 'late summer' kind of day (although calendar-wise it's early-autumn for us) - the sort of day that you want to be out on the water for. Or near water. Or something something water. And I was not, and resented the hell out of it all day.
Also, all the next day, which started around 8am and finished around 2pm. It was a gorgeous day for going to the beach, but the 'finished around 2pm' and 'church at 5pm' conflicted with that, so I didn't. I ordered lunch from a local place and when I went to pick it up, I found a few friends having a gathering at the restaurant. They invited me to stay, which I did, but...IDK. Feeling a bit pariah-ish after that. Particularly since something else might have happened Saturday night to which I wasn't invited?
But the work upgrade was largely successful and we are back into 'normal work mode' - sort of. I have a particular bit of work that needs to be done in the next 17 days before the UK tax year rolls over, but that's easy enough.
