Finished paint on kitchen windows, did one coat of bathroom (might be enough for just one). Made a plan for mosaics on the bathroom window.
bathroom
Still the painting of the rest of the windows to go; waiting on some advice from the husband of a friend regarding sealing up the gaps under the windows and any recs he has.
dining room
-1x 2x4 KALLAX (white) under dining window (with doors and drawers?)
--mostly for household papers, household repair things, alcohol, perhaps recycling?
--cat cushions on top, but should be removable (and maybe storable)
-1x 2x4 EXPEDIT (black?) against wall/light switch
-- top row: things that need sorting (eg. mail)
-- 2nd row: things that are sorted and stored and need easy access (eg. pens, stationary, etc.)
-- 3rd row: things that are sorted and attending to (eg. something that's been put down)
--pen/mail storage in upper cubes
-1x 2x2 EXPEDIT (white) on top of linen press drawers?
- would like to be rid of old dining table (circular, not enough space) but B1 likely wouldn't hear of it.
lounge room
-1x 2x4 EXPEDIT (black) against red wall, next to TV cabinet
--mostly for B1's papers and immediate work stuff (she likes working in the lounge, but I need to be able to put things away so I can invite people over)
-glass cabinet
--displays china and glass, etc. (toss out a few things that are old and no longer used or useful)
--in the diagonally opposite corner to before, so it can be more easily seen and admired (also: will probably catch the sun in winter)
--undershelves to hold gear for B2 when she wants to come over (note: she is limited to these undershelves so stuff doesn't spread)
-drinks cabinet
--alcohol and glasses in the main cabinet
--wine, cups, dishware in the undershelving
--overshelves to hold my figurine displays (add base, backing, maybe lights to make it a full display cabinet)
'cat highway': from cat tree to top of drinks cabinet to dining door lintel to top of glass cabinet to entryway lintel to black EXPEDIT to TV cabinet
lounge: at least a two seater and a chaise, leather. Quite a few 2nd-hand on gumtree, moving them in will be the trick!
TV cabinet: mostly electronics system, but need to think about whether to get rid of the sound system that we have; it's old but solid, but I've never managed to get the surround sound to actually work, and we don't really care that much about sound anyway... We would need speakers because the TV doesn't have sound, but a left, right, and a soundbar would probably suffice.
Study
--more storage spaces, with higher shelving (up to the ceiling where possible) and more boxes to fit so less dust...

It's a lot. I'm not sure I'm even going to manage it. There's a few things to throw out and sort through still, all of B1's room to clear (she didn't manage it before the windows, and I have a feeling she's barely going to manage it before she goes overseas) and I suspect I'm going to be holding the storage space all winter...

GOALS for the week
- go for a run every day (okay, I didn't manage today; too exhausted)
- seal up the windows/baseboards in the study, my bedroom
- get B1's bookcase out of her room and onto marketplace
- write my fiction words every day

We have a public holiday today (half a public holiday, anyway) and I'm hoping I can get B1 to at least clear out a bit of her room. It's so difficult, though, because she doesn't have much energy so...
