Challenge #2: In your own space, set yourself some goals for the coming year. They can be fannish or not, public or private.

So, looking at last year's 3 goals (all of them writing), I managed only one of them. *sigh*

And I know that Everything, Everywhere, All At Once wasn't exactly the opus I wanted it to be, but it was an ending. About as good a one as a very disappointed fan could hope for.

Anyway, 2024, here goes.

2024 goals
1. Complete rough draft of The Nullifae: Agent of Change. (And it can be very rough. But she has to have closed the portal and Dion has to have offered her a job. I know how these scenes go, I just have to write the other scenes before them.)
2. Finish The Gathering Clouds (MCU: Psy-Changeling AU)
3. Get the roof repaired and the ceilings repainted.
4. Produce apricots. (I have no idea how to prompt this. Really no idea.)
5. Finish and/or make 12 quilts/major fabric works. (clothing and curtains both count).

I think that's probably sufficient evil unto the time period thereof!

ps. I'm enjoying the icon randomiser.

Apricots! :D It's really cool to be able to have multiple types of creative goals going on in parallel, like writing and quilting :) I need to figure out something that doesn't involve a screen, too! Good luck with your goals!

3. Get the roof repaired and the ceilings repainted.

One of mine is to get my oven cleaned. For real.

5. Finish and/or make 12 quilts/major fabric works. (clothing and curtains both count).

That's like one project a month. You must be a good sewist.

My other goal is to organize my art supplies. I forget what I have, I forget where things are. Someday, I'll have a room for this and then, even if I'm still disorganized, at least I'll be able to close the door on the mess.

Hello. You are correct. For a number of reasons, I haven't been active on Dreamwidth (or anywhere in Fandom) for close to a decade. Because I'm in Los Angeles, I am creating a locked update post to reassure the folks who still follow me that my house didn't burn down. My sticky page has abortion resources and a link to articles about abortion that gets updated when I think about it.

Did I get my oven cleaned? No. My little wall oven is still covered in grease from the last time I used it to roast a chicken. Ruined it, I did. It's only used for storage now. However, I did build an ADU in my backyard which my son will be moving into shortly (after his father died, our son insisted I shouldn't be living alone. The ADU is a compromise. If he acquires a family, he can move into my house, and I can move into the ADU.) It has a brand new, full size oven. If I get the unlikely urge to roast a turkey or bake bread, I can use that. I did buy myself a little toaster oven for Christmas. It's very cute. I can warm a roll or bake a few cookies in it if I get a craving.

Wow, those are some hunking goals!

I only know quilting by osmosis, but 12 in a year seems like a big task, even if some of those are clothes/curtains.

Wishing you luck and many happy returns.

ooh apricots. I like that you have sewing on there as well, I need to get back into it too. I have puzzles now for a non-screen thing, but I like creating stuff. And I could use a dice bag! So hopefully I'll get to it soon. It can't be that hard, I'm sure there are patterns/tutorials online.
