i woke this morning and couldn't swallow

I've had a sore throat for the last few days. Twinges for the last week, escalating to a sore throat Sunday and Monday morning.

This morning, my throat was so bloody sore I could barely swallow my own spit.

Right now, three hours later, it's a little raw but otherwise fine.

I can never remember if this is a sinus thing, or a throat thing (and I should just remember to gargle some salt water).

B1 has been suggesting I go to the doc. Which I would if I had the time. I had the time yesterday but thought (hoped) it might go away.

Today, I do not have the time.

B1 wants to go to the gym, so if she's awake by 10am, then I'll be taking her in to the gym (no arm work, she had wrist surgery the other day) and mailing a gift to our stepbrother A & AL in Europe. Then I have to go hand over some doco for my dad to a friend of his who's going to Vietnam on Friday. About 3/4 of an hour's ride out. And then I arranged to meet up with a traveller on a FB group who's going to be in Sydney this afternoon and tomorrow...

...and then there's just the Christmas Eve service at church. If I make it. Which I hopefully will. Maybe.

Then the early morning drive on Christmas Day to the beach near the cousins...
