I think they could do with at younger, visibly Asian helper for Hornsby - a lot of East and South-East Asians will likely actually think about it if they have someone who looks like them stumping for her. And there's a pretty high percentage of people from those backgrounds in the area...

I was horrified when Labor parachuted in Kristina Keneally, who had nothing whatsoever to do with the electorate in question, into Fowler,

completely overlooking the local Labor candidate who was familiar with the issues and experiences in the electorate and had a background similar to many of the voters in the area - Vietnamese Australian lawyer Tu Le.

The seat ended up being won by independent candidate Dai Le, who actually knew the area, and was familiar with the area, and had a background similar to many of the voters in the area.

Parachuting a random white candidate who has no connection whatsoever with the area into a seat where 16% of the voters possessed Vietnamese ancestry, and 11% possessed Chinese heritage, and there was a supremely qualified local candidate who represented the community she stood for better, was a HORRIBLE, arrogant, and racist choice.

And then Labor had the audacity to act all betrayed when Fowler, traditionally a very safe Labor seat, went to an independent instead!
