You get some interesting links around fandom. A couple of folks did some photomanips to create Girl!Rodney and Girl!John.
Interesting, eh? They're reasonable - I understand it's difficult to create combination photomanip faces that don't look a little stiff. The blending never works perfectly enough that you can say, "Yes, that's a real person and not a composite face." Mind you, I keep thinking that Girl!Rodney either needs more cheekbone/nose or more neck (her face seems a little wide for the length of her head), and that Girl!John's hair should be darker.
Then again, it's all I can do to create icons and banners, let alone photomanips.
Brought to my notice by
saeva, who did a Lt. Col. Jane Sheppard of her own. The face looks more natural than the other two, but I can't remember if it's a composite or an actual actress. I think it's a composite again.
I'm rather curious as to just how difficult it is to turn a female face male. Turn Teyla into a Teylen, Jennifer into a Jenner, Elizabeth into an Eli. And whether anyone would try.
