recs from the SGA Santa stories I've read

sga_santa has started posting their stories.

This year, I've decided I'm going to read everything that isn't McShep, Shweir, or Teyla/Ronon, or any combination thereof - with the exception of Team!OT4 - and rec my favourites. It'll be an experience. I think. :)

Quicksand - John/Teyla - PG-13
Humour, a bit of team, and John and Teyla in a shower for an ending. Excellent.

"Waded through mud. Found primitive people who worship mud. Spent fruitless hours trying to negotiate for mud weapons before nearly being killed. Returned empty-handed and covered in mud."

No Translation Needed - Ronon/Radek - R
Drama, a touch of angst, and a lovely build-up and development, with a vividly passionate ending.

After several decades, he no longer really thinks in Czech. He speaks, and swears, and he can think easily in his first language. But he finds his thoughts run more smoothly when he thinks the language in which his colleagues speak. He stopped dreaming in Czech when he was twenty-five.

Team Building Of The Flies - John/Teyla/Rodney/Ronon - NC-17
Okay, so the premise is perhaps a leettle lame. But the story itself is well-written and quite hilarious (and hot) if you can do the team!love. And Sam and Radek are so conspiring in a yenta-ish manner.

"The IOA thinks we should have sex. With each other."

Keep On Moving - Ronon/Radek - R
Dark, action-adventure, and brilliant. Recommended for people who wouldn't ordinarily touch slash or this pairing at all. Worth the read and definitely worth the rec.

They're standing in the middle of a barren wasteland, rocky and rough. There's a smoking fissure nearby and the air stings in Ronon's eyes, makes them tear up. He can't remember ever having been here before. The Wraith must've known that, putting them down on this world. Ronon only hopes it has a Stargate, or this hunt won't last long, especially now that he isn't alone.
