weekend: exhausted before it even starts

It's all fun and games until your boss makes you get up at 4am on a Monday to be in at the office by 5am for the go-live.

Sunday is going to be a very busy day.

1. if there are problems with my go-live uploads I'll have to go in for the morning to fix stuff.
2. hockey grand final at 12:30pm
2a. if we win, there will be celebrations at the RSL
2b. if we lose, there'll be commisserations at the RSL
3. the stepbrother is making dinner for the stepfather for father's day
4. go-live monday morning, 5am

I still have a sore throat. And now it's extended to the inner ear - that slight achey feeling when you swallow. I wonder if I could take a day off this week in the hope of recuperation.

Oh well, hot honey-lemon tea, here we come!

NOTES: Next kink_bingo square on the quest for a bingo line! This one is blades. Which I maybe could have done with Ronon/Amelia, now I think about it. But Ziva just worked under the circumstances.

Once this bingo line is done, I'm going to focus on getting my Atlantis BB in, and the (very, extremely, excruciatingly) late help_haiti's for sjhw_tolerance, skieswideopen, and ailelie.

genderbender fic rec

Okay, so, Sherlock Holmes the Beeb TV series doesn't interest me for the simple fact that there aren't any main-cast women. It's probably a perfectly okay show, but it's unlikely to appeal to me anymore than Rizzoli and Isles is going to appeal to hardcore m/m slashfen.

Still, there is yet light at the end of the tunnel! ninhursag has begun writing Holmes and Watson. That is, Shelby Holmes and Dr. Jane Watson.

And although it's only the first chapter, it is of the AWESOME.

I know there are readers on my f-list who will appreciate (if not adore) this, and I really do hope she continues to write!
