The top is finished!

Isn't it pretty? So bright and sunshiney and happy! Given that the last week has rained nearly constantly, that sunshiney and happy has been a big mood improver for me.
I'm calling it "Santorini Sea And Sky" because it reminds me of those pics of the Greek islands, all deep blue sky and white plaster-covered houses. I thought about calling it "Oh, I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside", but... *wiggles hand indecisively*
And now I'm going to add borders. Just straight ones, I think - nothing so elaborate as this or this!
Maybe a thin yellow border, then a wider cream one, and then I'll bind the edges in some nice blue fabric. That'll keep the focus on the pattern, but frame it nicely.
Another shot of the top - low angle, taken with my new smartphone camera:

I'm considering piecing together a back with a few of the leftover pieces from the front. Just one or two blocks and then some fabric scraps?
The deadline for prize entry is the 4th August, which I doubt I'm going to make. But making this quilt was good - a lot less painstaking than my last kaleidoscope, which was certainly pretty, but so very busy and took forever to make!
I might end up giving this one to Agam Darshi, since the points actually, you know, match on this one...
Next project to finish: The Octarine Batik.
