life and fandom and stuff

Writing sheppard_hc. Finishing stepbrother's wedding quilt today. Wedding is tomorrow, and we're going to China on Wednesday for the Chinese celebration (SIL-to-be is from China and not all her family/friends could make it).

I just hope it goes off without too much ickiness. (There's already ickiness thanks to stepbro's mum and bad blood and control freakism and...let's just say it's bad and leave it at that.)

Watched Thor last night, then went on to watch Star Trek (2009) for a bit, then back to Thor again to get the bits I missed the first time. But I still have the music from Trek 2009 in my head. Whoever wrote that music can bloody well write music, let me tell you. 'Earworm' ain't the least of it.

Anyway, after watching Thor, now I have bunnies entirely inappropriate to sheppard_hc. *grimace*

But at least the Avengers movie trailer now makes sense!

While hunting around the Tube Of You, I was very disappointed to find what looked like an awesome trailer for a Cyclops movie...only to realise it was made by a fan. *sigh* I know I'm kind of the only Cyclops fan in the universe (pre-2001 Cyclops, that is...I haven't read the storylines since then) but it would have been nice to see him portrayed as the leader-character he is in a movie about his origins. And the trailer looks like it was made by a Cyke-fan.

Yet another instance of me backing "the wrong horse" according to the dictates of fandom. I have a knack for picking them.

And, finally, jo_graham is asking for your thoughts on 'Allegiance' and specifically the situation as it stands in Sateda. If you've read the book, go forth and communicate!

Now, please excuse me, I have to write Sheppard and co. in the dark, on the run, and with John injured and in pain.
