apocalypse halp?

I'm getting stuck on zombie apocalypses, Stargate apocalypses (the Goa'uld take over the world), vampire apocalypses (like Buffy, only the vampires take over), Avengers 1 apocalypses (Loki and the Chitauri win), and Terminator apocalypses (war against the machines).

Most of which are pretty specific.

...what are other apocalypses? (Prefer common-knowledge ones that don't require I read all the YA dystopia I can lay my hands on...)

Ah, clients who only really start talking to you at 4pm in the afternoon and then behave like you're stupid when things don't work precisely as they should because you've had ALL DAY to work on it. (With no input from the client until that point. And I don't know the client's precise requirements; all I have is the spec, which is a little short on the detail.)

I mean, obviously the ability to read minds comes with the job, right?
