The first half the year was fine - up until I got back from my holidays.
The last couple of months, everything's just crashing. From work to my body to my energy levels to my focus...
I think I've cracked a tooth - one of the back molars, had some recent work. It might be that it was too much work - there's a filling on both sides now - because I heard something crack the other night while eating, and it's been aching and throbbing just a little bit ever since. I can't bite down on anything seedy on that side, or anything chewy, not without feeling the pressure.
Saw the dentist today, but neither a visual inspect nor an x-ray could spot anything and the guy wasn't my regular dentist, so he played it softly-softly. Said there might be a hairline fracture, but if so the x-ray wasn't going to pick it up, and better wait for two weeks and see if it gets worse.
If it's a hairline fracture, then I'm going to need a root canal. Which, ugh. And it probably won't get done before Christmas, either, which will make eating all kinds of fun
On the plus side, that socialised healthcare thing? A little grinding down of the crown (the dentist thought it might be aggravating the pressure), an x-ray, and walked out without having to pay a cent. Mind you, if it comes to the root canal, it's going to involve paying large sums. Which is probably why some people still go for the 'just pull it out' option. Cheaper and faster, if less cosmetic.
But frankly, I just want my body to stop with the fail.
