Writing a pinch hit when you're not getting anything in return is a little demoralising. Yeah, I knew the deal when I wrote it but it's hitting surprisingly hard this morning.

Maybe it's just that there's Marvel everywhere right now but nothing of Maria Hill and nearly nobody either capable of writing her or willing to stretch to try.

teeny tiny ficlet

vervainwolf noted my nomination of Maria Hill in Ultimates!verse for Yuletide, and wrote this little ficlet!

Comics are difficult for me to get into - a lot of it relies on the quality of the art, which can be very variable. But the panels I've seen of Ultimate!Spiderman where Maria is featured look really high-quality.

(And I'm still SALTY AS HECK that they didn't go with Miles Morales Spiderman and include Maria working with him - particularly after she finds out that Tony recruited a TEENAGED BOY.)
