Writing a pinch hit when you're not getting anything in return is a little demoralising. Yeah, I knew the deal when I wrote it but it's hitting surprisingly hard this morning.

Maybe it's just that there's Marvel everywhere right now but nothing of Maria Hill and nearly nobody either capable of writing her or willing to stretch to try.

It's pretty much the same issue that I had with Teyla in SGA.

Everyone liked her, but nobody still writing fanfic was capable of writing her as the central character.
