I couldn't read DW after the weekend's election. It was too difficult processing other people's grief as well as my own. (Honestly, a lot like dealing with Endgame.) Hard enough having to do it on FB, and when I felt myself spiralling down after reading the other despondent/angry posts, I had to back away.
*hugs people*
One of the things I did find helpful in many people I know was the way groups like the ASRC (Asylum Seekers support centre) and Common Grace (Aussie Christians for Social Justice) picked themselves up on Monday and say, "Welp, we're gonna do exactly what we were doing on Friday. We're tired and this is not the outcome we wanted, but we're gonna do it."
( links and stuff )
