I am wondering if changing my name on my CV to one that isn't Asiatic would improve my chances of being considered for a job.

Also: there is a job application for Burnaby, BC by a Canadian company but the location that was listed was 'Melbourne'. 'Remote work possible during COVID-19' is what they say, but the time of work would undoubtedly be according to western Americas time: ie. night shift Australian time.

I was hoping to get a move into the 'crazy scene of conflict and infodumping' on the ms but I have been hijacked by the [community profile] intoabar story which is due today. Hadn't even started it. *sigh*

I'm at the depressed and useless midpoint of the story, when I struggle. Which I know. The plan was to spend most of the days this week writing.

Obviously [community profile] intoabar has hijacked that plan, at least for this morning. I did sign up for [community profile] everywoman and have nominated for [community profile] auexchange. But I'm questioning whether I should bother; after all, all the people who wrote things I wanted to read have since left the fandom and I've been struggling to write anything fannish since Chocobox. A dribble here, a drop there, but...otherwise, it's dry and dusty.

I have had used bicycle rims delivered from a neighbour, with which to re-make the rotating compost sieve.

You can see the first iteration here in action. However the rims I used last time were three different ones, and I found that the slight differences in the design and make of the rims meant it would hop off the rails a little when I rotated it and often fell off entirely.

These rims should match, which will hopefully mean the thing will stay stable on the castors.
