I may have completed a piece of work! And gotten a ticket closed!
Oh wait, piece of work failed. Luckily the only people I said it was fixed to were internal team members, not any client people... *sigh* However I feel like they all think I'm an idiot anyway, so...
Retesting this afternoon...
Anyway, at this moment now, I am in a place where I just want to EAT ALL MY FEELINGS right now. It's not pretty.
I don't know how many fence-sitting white suburbanites are around here: but the instagram hashtag #thisiswhy2020 is a really helpful thing for me this morning.
As much because I know a lot of white Australian suburbanites who don't want to 'get involved' with politics. Which thy can, mostly, because they're white women for whom the status quo will be revoked one or two steps after the the status quo is revoked for me as a person of Asiatic appearance in a western country.
Am I getting too involved in US politics? Honestly, most of the people that I associate with (online) are Americans and as such, their politics is my concern, too. Plus, what happens in the US also ends up happening in Australia, just lite.
There's a lot of respect and excuses in Australian conservatism for American conservatism - and that's not just the secular, economic kind, but also for the religious, ideological kind. And I am very wary of where that leads, in so many dimensions.
And I've just realised that I have an ALL DAY workshop tomorrow - 10am-4pm and I'm not sure I can. Natural basket-weaving, which is fine, but...did I mention that I'm not sure I can? Because I'm not sure I can.
*sigh* Retesting failed. And the whole rigamarole is complicated and takes time out of other people's work to actually test right now...
