In Ottawa, tired. Slightly sore throat, some digestive issues. Did I mention tired? RAT was negative, no PCR easily available here.
I am admittedly slightly jetlagged, somewhat psychologically exhausted thanks to all the flight disruptions I've been experiencing, not to mention anxious about dealing with all the people coughing heavily on mass transit. I really wish (other) people would mask up (too), although more people in Ottawa appear to be masking inside spaces: still not more than 5%, if that. London was pretty much a complete wash, and Scotland was largely unnecessary because we were outside all the time.
Ottawa is great, though; really enjoying my time here. Also, it's lovely to just look at all the gold leaves fallen and falling. Still, I'm looking forward to being home again. And there's a part of me going "80 hours, just 80 more hours and I'm home; I can last for 80 more hours..."
Ottawa->Toronto->San Francisco
San Francisco->LA->Sydney
Just gotta last out those ones, then I can go home and pretty much collapse in my own bed with my own kitteh, on my own ground.
Mind you, the temp is predicted to be 31C on the day I go home. I'm going to dress very light for the plane home and layer up. Wish I could source a sleeping pill, though...
Caught up with one of the Canadian SJHW (Sam-Jack Horsewomen) last night - so good to chat and eat and catch up. Don't think I've seen her since 2016 - actually, I don't think I've seen any of them since 2016, so...it's been a while.
Okay, going to lie down for a bit until
alphaflyer gets back from dropping her daughter off to work. Then we'll see what's to be done with the day...
