Weekend was pretty good. Write-in on Friday night. Community Garden Saturday morning. 30 Year school reunion Saturday night.

Reunion was...interesting. Good, yes. But also, it made me aware of just how 'oddball' I was at school. I stuck very much to my own group, and wasn't really friends with many of the other girls. So while there were friends that I caught up with (and was glad to), there weren't really a lot of people who I'd connected with back in the day or was connecting with now for the first time in ages. There were some who were disposed to be friendly, others who were politely interested, but...IDK. I felt like I was in a very different headspace to most of the people I chatted to, even the ones who were disposed to be friendly.

Church AGM Sunday lunchtime. No big surprises. I thought about volunteering for one of the roles, but there were people who were willing to fill the positions so I didn't bother. Actually, I think only one person changed in terms of the elected positions for this year vs last year - an unexpected nomination from the floor required an actual ballot, and one of the previous incumbents was voted out and the nominee from the floor was voted in. It was a bit tricksy, because I didn't know half the nominees and they weren't allowed to make 'stump speeches'.

Anyway, that was less exciting than the year we tried to earmark some money for a future women's worker, and some of the old farts wanted assurance that she would never preach in church. *eyeroll* Which the then-rector wasn't willing to give. Understandably.

Anyway, after all of that weekend I had today off with a public holiday for the office. Usually when the office has a public holiday, we're given the option of working or not, and I opted not to. Logged in and checked everything was running, then logged off.

I did a bit of gardening (cleaning off lotus roots), a bit of sewing (a top), a bit of writing (original work), got quilts back from the quilter (about 7 of them I think). I was going to a meet-up of an old writing group (Spidersgroup), but that got cancelled because too many people were feeling poorly.

Now it's just past 9pm and I should go to bed early. Risk the wake-in-the-middle-of-the-night, read for 30 minutes, then lie down and listen to a podcast to fall asleep again.

I'm feeling a bit run-down actually, a lingering sore throat that's been around for a couple of weeks now. RAT comes back negative, but that could mean anything these days. I really miss having PCR tests available.

I really do feel like I'm running out of time, though.
