stomach bug and disappointment

Went to bed with a stomach bug (after throwing up a few times), and still have it this morning after coffee and a croissant.

So I won't be going to the funeral today

I'm really bummed because it was going to be a very rare opportunity to reconnect with a bunch of people I haven't seen in a decade. And, no, we haven't really kept in touch, but sometimes stages of life changes things up. Not to mention mortality is always a good reminder of what we have and how it can be important to hold it close.

keeping a little food down

Apparently there's a bug going around. :(

Anyway, I'm keeping a little food down - the good old BRAT - Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast. Plus electrolytes.

But not half enough of them, honestly. I'm still hungry but I can't risk eating too much.

Anyway, events for tomorrow are basically cancelled. I may end up having to *gasp* watch TV on the couch. This never happens...
