I've put that one on hold. Hopefully, I'll get it done before the next time the proper day of the week rolls around.
(I'm sorry, friendshipper! It's just not working right now. I keep starting stories and then never getting them done! I can't find the right story to tell for this!)

team_sga: Have the first paragraph of the College Housing AU. Current working title: Toilet Seats And Tampons. Have the plot for the Tattoo Parlour AU. Have possible plot for Teyla the Vampire Slayer and her Scooby Gang AU. Since I've just finished reading the new Anne Bishop book A Tangled Web, I want to write another Black Jewels AU. Or, at least, finish off the ones I already have! And then there's the Shadowkin AU, the Pinocchio AU, the Bheancoran AU, the Firefly AU, the Daughter Of The Empire AU... BAH! Shermer! I was just at the good bit, too! BAH!

Anyone got a shotgun? I got some bunnies to dispose of!

remixredux08: have the story I'm working on, need to work on the style. I want to copy my recipient's style - problem #1. I'm didactic in storytelling. She's not. I love her style, I just can't copy it.

paintedspires: I need to find template photos for the poses. I can't draw from my head - I need models from which to capture shape and shadow. Especially since I can't manage a cartoon style. I wish I could. I've sketched out a decidedly NC-17 pose in PSP, but I want a more PG one with a martial feel. Am thinking about finding people to model the poses for me...oooh. My sister's biblestudy will be in the house tomorrow night! Instant models! (Not the NC-17 ones, get your minds out of the gutter, people!)

sgabigbang: wrote the first half of the summary this evening. ROCK ON! I think I have most of the second half set up, but I'm not 100% sure. I have to decide how much of late S3 and S4 canon I'm going to incorporate - if any.

I could probably get "stuff" in, it just won't be as long as it should, or as complex as I want, and nobody will like it (including me).

Every time I try to start a story, it just collapses on me after a handful of sentences. Little voices telling me my writing is bad and my story ideas are lame and nobody wants to read my stuff anyway... *sigh*

Bad time to have a writing self-esteem crisis.

*winces* Yeah. I know that feeling, too!

One thing I've noticed about my own writing is that the longer I work in one fandom, the more pressure I put on myself -- I slowly seem to go from writing whatever strikes my fancy, just for the hell of it, to feeling as if I have a reputation to maintain and each story must be better than the last. Getting back in touch with that "just for the hell of it" feeling is what makes writing fun for me, but it's hard to do. (This is what tends to torpedo my original fic, too -- the pressure I put on myself to make it "about something" rather than just being for fun.)

Anyway, I do hope you're able to get something in, because you write beautifully and I *do* think that whatever you write would be a benefit to the ficathon.
