We're in need of another pinch-hitter for the John-and-Teyla Thing-A-Thon.

Is there anyone who can fill a friends/UST fic (max rating R), no spoiler limit with a John-whump aspect and a sense of humour about the situation?

Due date would be anytime between 29th June to 4th July.

Although I have no problem with you being a little later - say the 11th July - because it's not easy to just step in and write something for a ficathon like that.

I guess, regarding the humour, you don't have to make it slapstick - sometimes one character's wry comment on the situation is enough to give a bad set of circumstances a humourous angle.

I don't think it's necessary to assign the one prompt to two people - we only need one story written.

If you're not comfortable with humour, it seems that mahoni is very much in the mood for it, so why don't I assign it to her for the time being?

I'm pretty sure that there'll be other people who can't finish their entries - out of 40 participants, the odds are high enough...

It's not an award or a competition, Rod. It's matching someone up to a story so the person writing is comfortable with what they've been assigned and so the person receiving can get something that they'd like.

Actually, writing in ficathons is often a bit of a chore, since you're constrained by someone else's requirements. Writing to requirement is rather difficult, all things considered.

I know its not a competition - I was trying to think of ways to say "fine, give it to him" without sounding sarcastic, facetious, or insulting to anyone.

difficult, but it can feel more rewarding; imho.
