To those who endeavoured to distract me this morning. It was very very helpful - I solved two problems and started work on a third! Y'all should distract me more often. :D

Unfortunately, it seems that the story is bigger than the word limit...

Apropos of nothing: I heard a bit of news I thought you might be interested in. Word has it that JFlan asked for and got a stronger romantic arc this season. Could it be that the shippy goodness in the premier is just the beginning? I know better than to get my hopes up, but at least now it's within the realm of possibility.

You know, I can't help but wonder if the slash scared him. It tends to do that.

Since he decided last season to play John as totally jealous over Teyla's pregnancy, I wonder if maybe he decided that a romantic arc was a good way to go for some of that character development the writers always make him beg for. Who knows? I guess we'll just have to wait and see. *hates being patient*

And we do get to see more of his personal side and his history in his dealings with Teyla than with any other character.

Do you read the tie-in novels? I think you'd like the one called Casualties of War. It's got a lot of Elizabeth and Teyla being awesome and there's a nice bit of John opening up to Teyla like that at the end. Also, like we were talking about a while ago about Teyla and Ronon being so much more well adjusted than John, Teyla and Ronon do a nice little tag team on John at the end to talk him down from the edge, so to speak.
