I'm glad that they finally addressed the Angela/Hodgins relationship, as well as how Hodgins is taking what happened to Zack - particularly in light of his paranoia and how it affected Zack's perception and openness to the cannibal murderer.

Sweets fit better in this episode than most of the others; the psychology angle was good, as was Booth's obsession with his son's mental well-being. And I loved his talk with Hodges towards the end: "I'm good with hate." That was brilliant. Sweets as a person is slightly annoying. I don't think he's fully grown up just yet. However, to give him his due, he knows his stuff and is a very good psychologist.

It's interesting that Brennan feels closer to dogs than she does to people. Strangely, I'd see her as more of a cat person than a dog person: the independance, the aloofness, the unwillingness to just accept what is given - to question everything.

Come to think of it, no, a cat wouldn't suit Brennan. Too much of the same in one space.

One thing that's beginning to irk me a little is that Brennan doesn't seem to have stretched very far in personality since season one. Her relationship with Booth has changed and evolved over time; but she hasn't really learned from him. Like the fact that anthropology doesn't equal social norms. (See my comments on last week.)

Pehraps part of her charm is her cluelessness when it comes to people; but she can learn a little more about people and dealing with them and still misapply it.

This wasn't a fantastic, awesome, amazing episode, but it wasn't a bad one either. I don't know that there've been any bad episodes of Bones ever, come to think of it.
