TPTB were not really as into this show as SG-1, when they could not advance the story into things unimagined they should have brought in fresh new writers, This show needed new blood to infuse it and not the old boys club that couldn't think outside of the box they put themselves in. In 10 years you could not exhaust the story-lines that one could come up with for a show like SGA. Killing off favored characters that were very much a part of the story, because they just couldn't stop tinkering or trying to find out if they could remove stuff and see how far they could push the audience! They just lost the whole concept of the story along the way. TPTB already knew that they didn't want to continue with SGA because they had to have been discussing the new BabyGate 90210 months or longer before the announcement. I believe as far back as ComiCon or earlier they knew. Some of the story-lines for this season are not bad, but you can tell that it had the feeling like they had already moved on to their next project and felt they didn't have to put much effort into this years episodes. The lack of full team related episodes, not advancing stories already started in preceding years, not following through with the original outline of the show in the first year that pulled us all in. The ego's of these writers and producers to think that throwing a bone, any bone would keep us all sucking after them and whatever scraps they gave us! I still love this show and the characters and always will. I feel bad about not seeing what more could have been explored and brought out, what could have been if greed didn't always factor into the equation. I have my DVD's, fanfic and my thoughts and dreams for what could have been and that will have to be enough, because there isn't anything else.
