Have you ever struggled on a story through several thousand words, and then discovered what wasn't working about the story.

And then realised that it's the core underpinning of the story that you've just changed?

And then realised that you'll have to go back and rewrite the story to change the bit that needs reworking?

It really sucks.

Although I don't think I'd have gotten much further with it - it was like pulling teeth. :(
