Elizabeth/Ronon: Hearts In Atlantis
This manifesto was written for the
ship_manifesto community and is a variation on my original manifesto - just expanded a little.
Yes, I know the title is corny.
I would have liked someone else to get in there and write the manifesto, but I couldn't see it happening and the hiatus was a good time to have it done.

I'm thinking about Liz-as-pacifist, and I'm trying to think about where it came from. In her few SG-1 eps, she is all about finding peace with the Goa'uld and negotiating with them until she realizes that she can only fight them dirty. She had been a startling choice because she is apparently anti-military, hoping to make them unneeded. But I don't think she's ever been a doormat.

Although that's not to say he isn't interested in her. That's what I love about this cast of characters, they're all so damn shippy (and the high quotient for filthy, filthy pr0n is omnipresent ;) Checks out another woman while his quasi-designated paramour is standing right next to him? I could see Ronon doing that anyway, but that is also so SGA. They're a bunch of suprsekrit pervs. All of them. heee
If Weir is ever present during a mission and gets into some trouble, I'm very curious on if Ronon would be as over-protective of her as he's displayed for his immediate team members (McKay in "Allies", Teyla in several eps and Shep in "The Hive"). He's almost scarily over-protective. As per above, he's done this for others, but I admit the squee would be deafening if he did it for Elizabeth. EEEEeeee! I'd like to think the chances of them getting in a dangerous situation where that might occur could at least be better than average. I don't think that's blind ship-bias talking either. SGA has a tendency to team-up those unexpected duos (Shep/Zelenka in "Grace Under Pressure", McKay/Lorne in "Runner", McKay/Cadman in "Duet", etc). And after their few interesting interactions in "Duet" and "Aurora" and how their characters obviously contrast? Come on! That would be entertainment gold!
