So, I got around to watching Fragments and Next Tuesday:

Fragments

So, lemme get this straight. Colin Cunningham tries to kill Henry by injecting the not-a-Unas Henry feeds with angry-making hormones and ends up nearly killing his wife instead, then...tries to make Henry go wolf?

And at the end, Henry admits he's in love with the wife, and it turns out she's in love with him (only CC asked first), but...he tells her he can't be with her because he's also CC's friend?

*scratches head* I was sewing at the time, so my brain may not be entirely on the ball with this one.

There's a part of me that's all "ugh, jealous husband storyline" and there's a part of me that's all "squee, jealous husband storyline" (except that I usually like the jealous husband to come to his senses and win back the heart of the woman he loves). And there's a part of me that's thinking, "Wait, the writers went to all the trouble of giving us a Henry-love interest that actually showed them being adorkable together (on the phone at the start and in the video) and then denied us the ending?"

Did I get that ending right, or is my brain on Planet WhatShowAreYouWatchingBecauseIt'sNotTheOneIAm!

Next Tuesday

Another Helen/Will bottle episode. I'm...not tired of these exactly. But a little over them. Can't another duo be stuck together for the entire episode and have to self-help? I know they're the headliners, but it's starting to feel a bit like The Wonderful World Of McShep, with Henry and Kate playing the roles of Ronon and Teyla. Sometimes you can make things interesting by changing it up, switching things around...

Also: Henry's in Tasmania? Surfing? Did Helen really say that? (Once again: sewing.) If she'd said diving in Tasmania (Tasmania has some awesome diving sites) then I'd be all over it. Of course, then there's the problem where she needed a diver in the first place...

Of course, perhaps someone wrote a story about Henry (and Big Guy) went down to Tasmania on the pretext of surfing and ended up hunting the (extinct) Tasmanian Tiger, who turns out to be an Abnormal?

(I realised yesterday morning while on my way to work, that I drive past a national park which would be perfect in which to set the Sydney Sanctuary. Not that anyone's asking me.)

Finally, my question of the episode: what is the difference between an Abnormal and an animal? What's the difference between the Scorpion-like Abnormal and an actual scorpion? Or between the, um, squiddy-like Abnormal and an actual squid? Maybe this is in S1, but I don't remember what they used as the Abnormal definition back at the start of the show.
