I'd like to do a slow drive through England - probably in September or October one year. So far, I've been to London, Brighton, and Nottingham to visit friends, but otherwise not much in between. A lot of history to take in!
And, hey, I know only too well the feeling of 'unrealisting travel expectations'! I wanted to get to the US for the end of August, start of September this year, for a cruise and to get to D*C in Atlanta.
Alas, I have the money, but I can't get enough time off work - I'm about four days short of accrued leave, dammit! So no go this year. But I think the US will be back on my schedule next year if I can possibly swing it!
know Regensburg to Vienna to Prague is the Danube, but what's the river before that?
The Rhein? The Seine? I get those two confused. I think it's the Rhein, though. The Seine goes through Paris or France, I believe...
Was August 2008 the 'heatwave of doom' year for Europe? That would have been a killer of a time to travel there!
