My recip was foxyinthecity and she wanted fic. Fortunately, I was in a position to provide fic!

TITLE: Like Flying (a.k.a. "Five Times John Thought About Kissing Teyla And The One Time He Did
SUMMARY: He got the shorthand rules of Stargate travel from O'Neill. No-one gets left behind. Don't be a dick. Talk more than you shoot. Don't think with your dick.

SUMMARY: In the earliest days of the expedition, before things get complicated, there's speculation about whether or not the city really is sentient. John could tell them, but he soon realises that it's the argument that's important to most people - not the answer.

NOTES: This took me forever to write. It started with an old prompt "John wants Teyla but can't bring himself to make a move. Atlantis knows John wants Teyla and starts 'helping' him out... Hilarity ensues." And then it...got bigger than I expected. (No dirty jokes, now!)
