Urgent notice for my f-list: there's an SGA Reverse Bang Challenge on Dreamwidth.

A 'Reverse Bang' challenge is where an artist creates a piece of art, then an author writes a story about it.

Artist Sign-ups close today (31st Jan, midnight PST time), the art is due on the 29th February, and the authors have to be confirmed by 13th May. Information post is here.

So, any people from my f-list (with preferences that I'd like to write for) like to participate? *looks hopefully around*

I'm just hoping that I get something to write for in sgareversebang. I don't care if it's the most prettified picture of Atlantis or a puddlejumper or some other not-human ever, so long as I can work it into a pairing or character focus that I like.

Yeah, that's my concern, too.

I guess I imagined that if someone didn't draw something I could write, I'd be able to withdraw.

Because no-one is going to get me to write McShep.

Unsurprisingly, I had the same thoughts as you on the subject. I'm glad you posted this; I'm going to have to repost the challenge and point out that I hope there are some people creating art for the other characters and pairings of SGA (especially the women and the characters of color).

I've had a look through and spotted a few artists who are non-McShep - at least two John/Teyla artists, one artist who's femmeslash-centric, and one who's pretty gen/team/Sheppard focused.

I'm thinking of trying my hand at art again, although I'm not very good...
