I'm going to watch The Avengers movie again tonight. By myself. Possibly with a notebook.

So give me one or two characters from the Avengers movie (and broader universe) and I'll write an interaction between them. If you want to help it along, you can suggest prompts, topics, situations, or scenarios. Whatever works for you (and which will hopefully work for me).

I can't guarantee they'll be good. Or in-character. Or, you know, that I'll write them at all. But I will at least toss a few ideas around and, who knows? I might get bit by the bug over your idea.

Do be warned, though; I may not follow fannish expectations. (Unless your expectations are that female characters can be awesome and slash is not a priority.)

Nick Fury and Darcy, sleepless.

No, no, it was just a thought! If you wouldn't enjoy it, well, I mean, there's no obligation. :)

Well, I like her because she's cute and funny and smart and approachable and brave even when she's scared, and she's loyal to Jane and wosshisname and works her ass off for them even though she's not even in the same field. But I certainly understand not getting what other people see in a character. See: almost all of X-Men First Class fandom and the current obsession with David 8, who's barely this side of a squick for me. *shudder*

Natasha and Pepper, new old relationships

Maria Hill and Bruce Banner, good places for tea in NYC and abroad or some other utterly innocent conversation that isn't about the Hulk or SHIELD or monsters or etc. while maintaining the tension brought by all the things unmentioned.

I don't. I remember the things you wrote for SGA. I have every confidence you can write a conversation in which the topic may be banal, but much more is present, communicated, and unsaid.

So, why Maria Hill-- (1) You like her; (2) With Coulson gone (dead or in hiding) it is feasible that she'll be working more closely with the Avengers in the future, she'll have to have a good rapport with them; (3) The Hulk might be one area of concern (along with Tony--and now with the two of them in close quarters? Headache central) and so building a relationship with Bruce is important. SHIELD needs to be more than the agency hitting the 'Avengers Assemble!' button, especially if they don't want to spend the start of every crisis tracking people down; (4) Possibly not a lot in common to talk about though, so some awkwardness and banality.

Basically, though, what I'm hoping for is how SHIELD handles managing the Avengers post-Avengers, particularly how they approach Bruce.
