Pick three pairings without looking at the questions:
1. John/Teyla
2. Bruce/Diana
3. Steve/Maria
1. What made you ship #3?
Probably Maria and the way she looked Steve up and down in the movie. And the fact that she's badass and stoic and tough and uncompromising. And because I prefer the idea of her and Steve not having an easy commonality, but working out their differences because they want to (instead of just fighting and creating conflict the way they do in comicsverse).
2. Is #2 canon?
Depends which canon you're talking about? *g* Justice League Unlimited cartoon series? HELLS TO THE YEAH. Everywhere else...not so much.
3. What's your favorite moment between #1?
So many to choose from! I'm going with the headtouch scene in The Return Pt 1, which is John and Teyla saying goodbye.
4. If you could put #3 in any scenario, what would it be?
Their own movie. They're on the run with bad guys after them, including a turned SHIELD agent who has it in for Maria. She wants to stand and fight but Steve isn't so sure of their chances against all of SHIELD. However, he can't get hold of Tony or any of the Avengers. They're on the run, and to hide out they end up staying in all kins of dodgy places. I have this vision of them in a "no-tell" motel, with Maria checking out all the exits and lines of sight while Steve watches her, before he starts working out how they're going to get their next meal (having a super-fast metabolism is a problem when it comes to mealtimes).
He lets her take care of the operational stuff (like finding how deep the rot goes), and he keeps them alive as they move along, using his experiences from the Depression and the war in Europe to keep them off the grid. Along the way there's shared beds and close quarters, not killing each other and learning to work together, Steve looking after Maria and Maria being very careful not to notice Steve that way until he puts himself out there.
And then there's the showdown and the cavalry arrive just after Maria's taken out her bête noire.
5. Favorite line said between #1?
This is hard. There isn't any one line that I can really think of – and it's never just one line, it's always exchanges:
Teyla: Your leader looks through me as though I were not there.
John: Do I?
Teyla: No.
Oh wait! This one's wonderful – an excellent bead on both characters, but especially Teyla.
John: How'd you know it was me?
Teyla: I *still* do not. (She turns to one of the marines.) Keep his hands bound until Doctor Beckett tells you otherwise. (The marine nods.)
John: Well, if you didn't know, why'd you give me the stunner?
Teyla: Because you would have shot her either way.
